Incorporate Climate Change into Sustainability Report

How might we directly contribute to

global warming in our sector?

climate action goal (SDG 13)

At the “SDGs Explained for Business” conference in September 2015, all 193 Member States of the United Nations adopted a plan for achieving a better future for all — laying out a path over the next 15 years to end extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and protect our planet. At the heart of “Agenda 2030” are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which clearly define the world we want — applying to all nations and leaving no one behind.

Goal 13 is about climate change, which is increasing the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events such as heat waves, droughts, floods and tropical cyclones, aggravating water management problems, reducing agricultural production and food security, increasing health risks, damaging critical infrastructure and interrupting the provision of basic services such water and sanitation, education, energy and transport.

 1) co2trees program
(carbon offset + External engagement)

The CO2Trees Program aims to easily show external key stakeholders how a brand is engaging with sustainability. Planting trees increases the amount of carbon dioxide absorbed and is easy for everyone to understand and aligns with the SDG 13 Climate Action. CO2Trees Program aims to offset your company CO2 emissions through auto pairing with external Gen Z and Millennials. Planting one million trees around the World can create real impact on climate change.

2) world record corporate holder
(carbon offset +  reputation)

Using art to raise public awareness for climate change! This is an attempt to have the most people (e.g., over 1,000 pax) join a ''Tree Art" virtual event. We have official permission from the SDG World Records to perform this event. Beyond snapping, the shared world record corporate holders and ClimateDo will plant trees in a challenged pattern in order to balance out (offset) carbon footprint.

More Record Breakings mean Sustainability improves around the World!

Goal 13 directly supports both Environmental and Governance factors of ESG to measure, report on and advance corporate sustainability performance. Sustainability is not limited to the specific product, service, or business that reflects special added value in terms of environmental and social benefits. It can also support perspective of business finance.

For example, Sustainability Linked Loans or ESG Linked Loans offer discounts (or increases) to be applied for each specific target (KPI) that is met. One of the hot KPIs is the “NetZero carbon emissions” target, aligned with a 1.5 degree increase in global temperature. Business is serving sustainability and also reducing the cost of capital for financial performance. Supporting bankers include BNP Paribas, Swiss Bank, JPMorgan Chase, DBS, World Bank and etc.

change medal for climate action (Disclosure of evidence)

3) change for netzero Program
(carbon offset + both external & internal engagement)

Our customers (external or internal) are becoming more and more concerned with the environmental issues we face in the world around us. With the Change for NetZero Program, it is easy to show all stakeholders how a company supports sustainability. Participating companies and ClimateDo will plant trees around the World for each subprogram below.

Change is not easy but it is possible! These ClimateDo flexible program series for ESG Strategy provide a convenient way to incorporate climate change into your sustainability report. No matter your business model, from traditional to digital, transaction to subscription, or single sector to multi-sector, organisations who are striving to create sustainable prosperity cannot survive without a solid business environment.
